Robert K. Tanenbaum was born in Rochester, NY and has lived in the Washington, D.C. area since graduating from college. He is a principal of Lerner Enterprises, the Lerner family's real estate, development and investment company.
Bob attended Union College where he graduated in 1979 with a degree in political science, earned summa cum laude honors and was chosen Phi Beta Kappa. He received a Juris Doctor degree from The George Washington University National Law Center in 1982.
Bob is on the boards of The George Washington University and of the Imagination Stage of Bethesda. He is a member of the Federal City Council and of the Economic Club of Washington, D.C. An active Eagle Scout, he is also involved in a variety of other educational, political and community programs
