Lighting Program Manager, U.S. Environmental Protection Agency's ENERGY STAR Program

Alex Baker is the Lighting Program Manager for the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s ENERGY STAR program, overseeing specification development, product qualification and technical support services for all lighting product categories including solid state lighting lamps and luminaires.  Alex holds a Master of Science in Lighting from the Lighting Research Center at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, and a Bachelor of Fine Arts from New York University.  He is a member of the Illuminating Engineering Society of North America, and is Lighting Certified by the U.S. National Council on Qualifications for the Lighting Professions.  Prior to his work for the ENERGY STAR program, Alex worked in lighting manufacturing and sales in New York, where he also worked on lighting and cinematography for film and television production.
