Mayor Adrian Fenty and Council Chairman Vincent Gray faced off at a debate organized by Washington Post Live two weeks before the crucial September 14 Democratic primary. Eugene Robinson, columnist and associate Editor of The Washington Post, moderated the discussion. Washington Post Reporter Nikita Stewart, NBC4 Reporter Tom Sherwood and WAMU 88.5 Reporter Patrick Madden asked questions about major election issues facing the District including the economy, education, D.C. statehood, and public safety. The 60-minute debate was streamed live on washingtonpostlive.com. The debate also aired on WAMU 88.5 later that day and on NBC4 the following day.
